\u201cWhen He had come into the house, the blind men came to Him, and Jesus said to them, \u2018Do you believe that I am able to do this?\u2019 They said to Him, \u2018Yes, Lord.\u2019\u201d
\u2014 Matthew 9:28, NKJV<\/blockquote>This question of Jesus is much deeper than it first appears. He was not simply asking, \u201cDo you believe that I exist?\u201d He was asking: \u201cDo you believe that I AM ABLE to do this?\u201d
The two blind men had followed Jesus, crying out, \u201cHave mercy on us, Son of David!\u201d But when they finally came before Him, Jesus brought their faith face-to-face with His power.
It is as though He were saying: \u201cYou have cried out to Me because you need a miracle. Now tell Me: do you truly believe that I am able to perform it?\u201d
Pentecostal faith is not merely a mental conviction. It is a living trust in the power of Christ. Faith looks at the impossible and declares: \u201cYes, Lord, You can!\u201d
Notice something powerful: Jesus did not first say, \u201cI will do it.\u201d He first confronted their faith: \u201cDo you believe that I am able to do this?\u201d
There are moments when God allows us to reach situations where human resources are no longer enough, so that we learn to trust His ability rather than our own.
\ud83d\udd25 The question is still the same today:
Do you believe that Jesus can do this?
Do you believe He can open a door that no one can open?
Do you believe He can restore what seems lost?
Do you believe He can transform an impossible situation?
Do you believe His power is still at work?
Their answer was simple:
\u201cYes, Lord.\u201d
They did not say, \u201cYes, Lord, if it is possible.\u201d
They did not say, \u201cYes, Lord, but we don't know when.\u201d
They simply said: \u201cYes, Lord.\u201d
\ud83d\udd25 Faith begins when we stop measuring what God can do by what our eyes can see.
Jesus does not require you to know how He will do it. He asks you to believe that He is able to do it.
And when faith encounters Christ, the impossible becomes the place where His power can be revealed.
Today, answer Him with faith:
\ud83d\udd25 \u201cYes, Lord. I believe that You are able to do this!\u201d

\u2014 Isaiah 33:2, NKJV<\/blockquote>This verse is born in a moment of distress, yet it contains one of the most powerful expressions of dependence upon God: \u201cWe have waited for You.\u201d
Isaiah does not say, \u201cLord, change our circumstances immediately.\u201d He says, in essence: \u201cBe our arm.\u201d
In Scripture, the arm speaks of strength, power, and the ability to act. When our strength fails, God does not ask us to pretend that we are strong. He invites us to make His strength our strength.
And there is something powerful in these words: \u201cevery morning.\u201d
Every morning means that our dependence on God cannot be sustained merely by yesterday\u2019s experiences. Yesterday God carried you, but today you still need His strength. Yesterday you saw His hand, but this morning you must once again say:
\u201cLord, be my arm.\u201d
\ud83d\udd25 Life in the Spirit is daily dependence.
We cannot face a new day relying only on yesterday\u2019s grace as though it were a spiritual reserve we can store forever. We need fresh communion, fresh strength, and fresh sensitivity to the voice of the Holy Spirit.
Then Isaiah declares: \u201cOur salvation also in the time of trouble.\u201d
He does not deny the reality of trouble. Faith does not pretend that the battle does not exist. Faith declares that God remains present in the middle of the battle.
Perhaps today you feel weak. Perhaps you do not know how you will face what is ahead.
Do not place your confidence in your ability to endure.
Lift your eyes and pray:
\u201cLord, be my arm this morning. Be my strength when I have none. Be my salvation when I cannot see a way out. I will not trust in my own ability\u2014I will wait for You!\u201d
\ud83d\ude4f Do not begin this day counting on your strength. Begin it counting on His.
When your arm is weak, His is never weak.
When your strength runs out, His never does.
When you do not know what to do, He remains your Salvation.

\u2014 Revelation 3:15-16, NKJV<\/blockquote>Laodicea was a church that thought it had everything: \u201cI am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing.\u201d But Jesus saw what they could no longer see: they were spiritually poor, blind, and naked.
The tragedy of lukewarmness is this: we can lose awareness of our spiritual condition while believing everything is fine.
And Jesus gives them a powerful command:
\ud83d\udd25 \u201cI counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed\u2026 and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see.\u201d
Jesus tells them to obtain three things from Him.
\ud83d\udfe1 GOLD REFINED IN THE FIRE
True riches are not what we possess, but a faith tested and purified by fire. God does not want a superficial faith. He wants a faith that remains standing when it passes through the fire.
\u26aa WHITE GARMENTS
Laodicea was proud of its wealth, but before Christ it was naked. The white garments speak of righteousness, purity, and a life consecrated to God. Religion and outward appearance cannot cover spiritual nakedness. Only Christ can clothe us.
\ud83d\udc41\ufe0f EYE SALVE TO SEE
Perhaps this is the deepest need: to recover spiritual sight\u2014to see ourselves as God sees us, to recognize sin before it becomes a chain, and to see Christ above everything.
Then Jesus says:
\u201cAs many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent.\u201d
The answer to lukewarmness is not simply doing more religious activities. It is repentance and a return to the fire.
\ud83d\udd25 \u201cBehold, I stand at the door and knock.\u201d
What a heartbreaking picture: Christ is outside the door of a church that bears His name.
Yet He is still knocking.
Today Jesus is still saying:
\u201cBuy from Me what the world can never give you.\u201d
Do not seek security in riches.
Do not seek identity in human approval.
Do not seek spirituality in outward appearance.
Come to Christ.
From Him receive faith refined by fire, the garments of righteousness, and eyes anointed to see.
\ud83d\udd25 Lord, make us truly rich in You. Clothe us with Your righteousness and anoint our eyes with Your Spirit so that we may see. Remove every trace of lukewarmness and reignite the holy fire within us. In Jesus\u2019 name. Amen.

Notice his words: \u201cWhom have I in heaven but You?\u201d
He is not simply saying, \u201cGod is the One who helps me.\u201d He is saying: \u201cGod is the One I desire.\u201d
There is a great difference between seeking the hand of God and seeking the God of the hand. We may desire healing, blessing, answers, deliverance, and miracles; but spiritual maturity comes when we can say: \u201cLord, even if I do not receive what I am asking for, I still want You.\u201d
\ud83d\udd25 This is the faith the Holy Spirit produces in the heart.
Asaph had looked at the prosperity of the wicked and almost stumbled. But when he entered the sanctuary, his perspective changed. He understood that the value of his life is not determined by what he possesses on earth, but by Who possesses his heart.
That is why he declares:
\u201cThere is none upon earth that I desire besides You.\u201d
This is not merely a poetic statement\u2014it is a declaration of consecration.
When Christ becomes our treasure, we no longer need circumstances to tell us how much we are worth. When the Holy Spirit fills our hearts, the world may offer many things, but nothing can replace the presence of God.
\ud83d\udca5 True revival begins when we stop seeking God only for what He can give us and begin desiring Him for who He is.
You may lose something and still live. You may walk through a difficult season and still hope. But when God remains your supreme desire, you have not lost your portion\u2014you still have Him.

\u201cLord, purify my desires. Never allow Your blessings to take the place of the One who blesses. Let my heart sincerely say: Whom have I in heaven but You? Jeremiah carried God's name and therefore could not treat God's Word as something secondary.

He ate it.

The Word entered his heart.

\u201cFor I am called by Your name.\u201d

Jeremiah is not simply saying, \u201cI know God.\u201d He is saying something much deeper:

\u201cI belong to God. I carry His name. My identity is connected to Him.\u201d

In the biblical understanding, being called by someone's name expresses belonging and identification. Jeremiah is declaring:

\u201cI am recognized as His.\u201d

And this completely changes the way we understand the verse.

\ud83d\udd25 THE WORD AND OUR IDENTITY

Notice the order of Jeremiah's words:

\u201cYour words were found\u2026 I ate them\u2026 Your word was to me the joy of my heart\u2026 for I am called by Your name.\u201d

Jeremiah does not separate God's Word from his identity.

Here is a powerful spiritual principle:

When you truly belong to God, His Word cannot remain foreign to your life.

The Word God speaks becomes nourishment for the person who carries His name.

Jeremiah did not simply want to know what God was saying. He wanted to live as a man who belonged to God.

\ud83d\udd4a\ufe0f CARRYING HIS NAME HAS A COST

Jeremiah carried God's name, but that did not guarantee a life without suffering.

In fact, because he proclaimed God's Word, he was rejected, persecuted, and mocked.

This reminds us that carrying God's name does not mean being exempt from battles; it means going through the battles knowing to whom we belong.

People may reject the message.

They may reject the messenger.

Circumstances may become difficult.

But our identity remains:

\u201cI am His.\u201d

\ud83d\udd25 When you know that you belong to God, you no longer need the approval of people in order to continue obeying God.

\ud83d\udd25 NOT ONLY CARRYING HIS NAME, BUT HONORING IT

Carrying God's name is not only a privilege; it is also a responsibility.

If His name is called upon us, then our lives should reflect the One to whom we belong.

Our words should honor His name.

Our decisions should honor His name.

Our conduct should honor His name.

Our ministry should honor His name.

We cannot desire the power of the Holy Spirit while refusing a consecrated life before God.

Power without character can bring scandal.

Gifts without holiness can become dangerous.

Manifestation without the Word can produce confusion.

But when the Word, the Spirit, and consecration walk together, our lives become true instruments in God's hands.

\ud83d\udd25 THE NAME BEFORE THE GIFT

This is especially important in Pentecostal life.

We may desire the gifts of the Spirit, prophecy, healing, power, and anointing.

But before everything else, we must be able to say:

\u201cLord, I am Yours.\u201d

Before the gift comes belonging.

Before the anointing comes consecration.

Before the platform comes the secret place of communion with God.

Before God uses us publicly, we must allow Him to shape us privately.

Jeremiah first eats the Word, and then carries that Word as a prophet.

\ud83d\udd25 God is not merely looking for mouths through which He can speak; He is looking for hearts in which His Word can dwell.

\u2764\ufe0f WHEN THE WORLD DOES NOT RECOGNIZE WHO YOU ARE

Perhaps someone does not recognize your value.

Perhaps you have been rejected.

Perhaps someone has spoken against you.

Perhaps you are walking through a season in which you feel alone.

Remember what Jeremiah understood:

\u201cI am called by Your name.\u201d

Your deepest identity does not come from what people say about you.

It does not come from your successes.

It does not come from your failures.

It does not come from your position.

It comes from the One to whom you belong.

If you belong to Christ, your identity is secure in Him.

\ud83d\udd4a\ufe0f THE NAME BECOMES A TESTIMONY

When someone truly carries the name of Christ, sooner or later that name must become visible in their life.

People should be able to see something of Christ in our love, patience, holiness, faith, and perseverance.

It is not enough to say:

\u201cI am a Christian.\u201d

Jeremiah does not simply say that he heard God\u2019s Word. He ate it. God\u2019s Word became nourishment, strength, and life to him.
This teaches us that it is not enough simply to read the Bible. We must allow the Word to enter deeply into us, reach our hearts, and transform our lives.
\ud83d\udd25 True spiritual hunger is not merely wanting to know what God says; it is desiring what God says to become reality within us.
\u2764\ufe0f When the Word Becomes Joy
Jeremiah continues:
\u201cYour word was to me the joy and rejoicing of my heart.\u201d
This is remarkable. Jeremiah\u2019s circumstances certainly did not give him much reason to rejoice, but his joy did not depend on his circumstances. His joy came from the Word of God living within him.
When everything changes, the Word remains.
When people disappoint us, the Word remains.
When we do not understand what God is doing, the Word remains.
Jesus said:
\u201cThe words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.\u201d
\u2014 John 6:63
When the Holy Spirit makes the Word alive within us, it becomes strength for the weak, hope for the discouraged, and faith for the one walking through a trial.
\ud83d\udd25 From the Word to the Fire
The Word Jeremiah had eaten did not remain merely in his mind. Later, when he tried to remain silent, he declared:
\u201cHis word was in my heart like a burning fire shut up in my bones.\u201d
\u2014 Jeremiah 20:9
This is what happens when the Word is truly received: it becomes fire.
Not merely biblical knowledge.
Not mere religious activity.
Fire in the heart produced by the truth of God and stirred by the Holy Spirit.
\ud83d\udd25 The Word feeds faith.
\ud83d\udd25 Faith produces courage.
\ud83d\udd25 Courage moves us to proclaim what God has spoken.
\ud83d\udd4a\ufe0f We Belong to God
Jeremiah adds:
\u201cFor I am called by Your name.\u201d
The Word we receive is connected to our belonging to God. To carry His name means to live as people consecrated to Him.
We cannot desire the power of the Holy Spirit while rejecting holiness, obedience, and the Word.
Before manifestation comes consecration. Before ministry comes belonging. Before speaking for God, we must learn to listen to God.
\ud83d\ude4f A Word for Today
Perhaps you are going through a season in which you do not understand what God is doing. Perhaps you are tired, discouraged, or waiting for an answer.
Do not stop feeding on the Word.
When you are tired, return to the Word.
When you are confused, return to the Word.
When your faith becomes weak, return to the Word.
When you still cannot see the answer, continue believing the Word.
Because what today looks like only a promise may tomorrow become a testimony of God\u2019s faithfulness.

This is the key to the entire passage.
Jesus does not say: \u201cby your authority,\u201d \u201cby your ability,\u201d or \u201cby your experience.\u201d He says: \u201cin My name.\u201d
The name of Jesus represents His person, His authority, and His dominion. The Church does not possess autonomous power; it operates in total dependence on the risen Lord.
When a believer proclaims the name of Jesus in faith, they are not using a magic formula. They are declaring that Jesus is Lord and that every spiritual power must submit to His authority.
\ud83d\udd25 \u201cTHEY WILL CAST OUT DEMONS\u201d
The Gospel does not present a Church that is powerless before darkness.
Christ has triumphed and has given authority to His disciples. Deliverance is not a spectacle, nor does it serve to exalt the minister. It is the manifestation of Christ's dominion over the powers of darkness.
The Pentecostal Church must remember that spiritual warfare is real, but also that the victory belongs to Jesus.
We do not need to fear the dark when we walk in the light of Christ.
\ud83d\udd25 \u201cTHEY WILL SPEAK WITH NEW TONGUES\u201d
Here we see a deeply Pentecostal dimension.
God does not only want to change what we do; He also wants to fill our mouths with what comes from His Spirit.
Tongues are one of the manifestations associated with the work of the Holy Spirit in the Book of Acts. They are not merely an emotional phenomenon, but a reminder that the Holy Spirit takes possession even of our ability to speak and pray.
A mouth consecrated to God becomes an instrument in His hands.
\ud83d\udd25 \u201cTHEY WILL LAY HANDS ON THE SICK, AND THEY WILL RECOVER\u201d
These words remind us that Jesus is still the Healer.
The believer's hand is not the source of healing. The hand is an instrument; the power belongs to Christ.
This is why the Church must not stop praying for the sick. It must lay hands with faith, pray in the name of Jesus, and leave the manifestation of His will to God.
Faith does not manipulate God. Faith surrenders to God.
\u26a0\ufe0f AN IMPORTANT CLARIFICATION
The reference to serpents and poison does not mean that believers should deliberately seek out dangerous situations to prove their faith.
Biblical faith does not put God to the test.
Jesus Himself, during His temptation in the wilderness, refused to turn a presumptuous test into a demonstration of divine protection.
Therefore, the principle is this: when danger comes while we are walking in God's path, we can trust in His protection; we must not create danger to prove that we believe.
\ud83d\udd25 THE SECRET IS NOT THE SIGN: IT IS FAITH
The verse does not say that signs will follow the most famous, the most educated, or the most charismatic.
It says:
\u201cThose who believe.\u201d
The starting point is faith.
Authentic faith does not seek miracles to glorify man. It seeks Christ. And when Christ is exalted, the Holy Spirit works as He wills.
The question for us today is not merely:
\u201cCan God still perform miracles?\u201d
The answer is yes.
The deeper question is:

\u200bFaith turns hearing into action.
\u200bWhen God says, \u201cDo not fear,\u201d faith stops being ruled by fear.
When God says, \u201cI am with you,\u201d faith stops feeling abandoned.

Mark 11:13 says that Jesus saw from a distance a fig tree having leaves.
The problem was precisely this: it had leaves.

Spiritually, we can have:
words, but no transformation;
biblical knowledge, but no obedience;
religious activity, but no communion with God;
spiritual gifts, but little character;
worship on our lips, but a heart far from God.
The fig tree appeared to promise fruit, but when Jesus came near, He found only leaves.
The presence of the leaves created an expectation of fruit.
This is a serious word for the Church: it is not enough to look alive; we must bear fruit.
\ud83c\udf47 3. Jesus looks for fruit before leaves
Fruit in Scripture speaks of the life that flows from our relationship with God.
Galatians 5:22-23 speaks of the fruit of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
True spiritual revival is not simply about feeling something during a service.
True revival produces fruit in everyday life.
A person may shout \u201cHallelujah!\u201d and still live in hatred.
They may speak continually about faith and refuse to forgive.
They may know many Bible verses and yet refuse to obey the Word.
They may have a great spiritual appearance and still be barren.
\ud83d\udd25 4. The question this verse asks us
Mark 11:12 therefore introduces a question that can deeply search our hearts:
If Jesus came today looking for fruit in my life, what would He find?
Not what other people see.
Not what I show in church.
Not what I claim to be.
What would He find?
Because Jesus sees beyond the leaves.
He sees the heart.
He sees the secret life.
He sees what no human being sees.
\u2694\ufe0f 5. A prophetic word for the Church
It is possible to have a season of many leaves and little fruit.
Many programs.
Many meetings.
Many words.
Many activities.
Many outward manifestations.
But God is looking for fruit.
The Lord does not simply want a Church that looks spiritual.
He wants a Church filled with the Holy Spirit, transformed by the Word, consecrated, obedient, and fruitful for the Kingdom of God.
Perhaps this is why Jesus allowed the fig tree to become a living parable.
Leaves may impress people, but only fruit satisfies God\u2019s expectation.
\ud83d\ude4f Conclusion
Mark 11:12 is not only about Jesus being hungry.
It speaks about God\u2019s desire for fruit in our lives.
Today, let us not ask only:
\u201cHow spiritual do I look?\u201d
Let us ask:
\u201cHow much fruit is Christ producing through me?\u201d
Because there will come a moment when Jesus passes by our life.
And when He comes near, He will not be looking for our leaves.
He will be looking for our fruit.

Jesus saw their struggle.

He did not come when the disciples expected Him.
He came at the appointed time.
God's apparent delay is not God's absence.
When you think He has forgotten you, He may already be walking toward your storm.
And notice this: Jesus did not wait for the storm to disappear before coming.
He came into the storm.
\ud83d\udd25 Jesus walked on what terrified them
The waves that frightened the disciples were under Jesus\u2019 feet.
What overwhelms you is still under His authority.
Jesus said:
\u201cBe of good cheer! It is I; do not be afraid.\u201d
He did not first explain the storm.
He revealed His presence.
Sometimes faith does not begin with understanding what God is doing. It begins with recognizing Who is with you.
\ud83d\udd4a\ufe0f \u201cHe went up into the boat with them, and the wind ceased.\u201d
When Jesus entered the boat, the wind stopped.
The disciples could not calm the storm through their own strength.
The presence of Jesus changed everything.
You may have your boat, your experience, your strength and your plans\u2014but when the storm becomes greater than your ability, what you need most is Jesus in the boat.
And never forget verse 52: they had already witnessed the miracle of the loaves, yet the storm made them forget His power.
Do not let today's storm make you forget yesterday's miracle.

\ud83d\udd25 The night may be long.
\ud83d\udd25 Your strength may be failing.
But Jesus sees you.
And when He steps into your storm, His voice will still say:

The storm will not have the final word.

Peter is in prison\u2014not simply in a difficult situation. He is chained, guarded, and humanly destined for death. Yet while the prison seems to have the final word, the Church is doing something invisible but extraordinarily powerful: they are praying.

Notice the contrast: Peter is being guarded by men, but the Church is standing in the presence of God. And when the Church prays, what appears to be a closed situation on earth can become a door that God is preparing to open from heaven.

The Greek word for \u201cprayer\u201d is proseuch\u0113, referring to prayer directed toward God. But Luke adds something even stronger: \u201cconstant.\u201d The Church was not offering an occasional prayer. They were persevering.

This is the difference between religious prayer and Spirit-filled prayer: religious prayer stops when it sees no results; Spirit-filled prayer continues because it knows the One to whom it is praying.

\ud83d\udd25 Peter was in prison, but his situation was not beyond the reach of prayer.

Perhaps someone today is living through a \u201cprison\u201d: a situation that seems blocked, a door that refuses to open, a promise that seems delayed, a battle that appears endless.

Acts 12:5 reminds us that the silence of circumstances does not mean the silence of God.

The Church was praying on earth while God was preparing an intervention in heaven.

And a few verses later, an angel of the Lord enters the prison, the chains fall off, and Peter is led out.

But there is something even deeper: before the chains fell, the Church had already begun fighting in the invisible realm.

Prayer is not the last resort we use when everything else fails. Prayer is where faith enters the battle.

A praying Church becomes a Church before which spiritual prisons cannot remain closed forever.

\u26a1 Do not stop praying simply because you cannot yet see the door opening.

You may be much closer to the miracle than you realize.

Peter was sleeping in prison, but the Church was praying.

Peter could not get himself out, but God could get in.

The chains were real, but the power of God was even more real.

\ud83d\udd25 When the Church prays with perseverance, heaven does not remain indifferent.

Perhaps today you do not need another strategy.

Perhaps you need to return before God and say:

\u201cLord, we will continue to pray until You have accomplished Your will.\u201d

Because there are prisons that cannot be opened by human strength, but by a Church that kneels, perseveres, and believes.

The Church was praying on earth\u2026 and God was about to shake the prison.

\ud83d\ude4f\ud83d\udd25 Do not stop praying. Your \u201cActs 12:5\u201d may be the very moment preceding your \u201cActs 12:7.\u201d

Spiritual pride.
A lack of love.
Any of these can become a stumbling block.
\ud83d\udd25 And notice whom Jesus protects: \u201cthese little ones who believe in Me.\u201d
Their faith may be young. They may still be learning, struggling, and falling\u2014but Jesus values their faith deeply.
Therefore, the Church is not called merely to bring people to Christ; we are also called to protect what God is growing in them.
There is another profound warning here. Just before this, the disciples were arguing about who was the greatest. Jesus was teaching them that spiritual greatness is not about position, recognition, or power\u2014it is about humility and servanthood.
We can have gifts without having Christlike character.
We can preach powerfully and still live wrongly.
We can know Scripture and lack love.
\ud83d\udd25 The Holy Spirit does not want only to anoint our gifts; He wants to transform our character.
So ask yourself today:
Does my life draw people closer to Jesus\u2014or does it make them stumble?
May our words, our conduct, our ministry, and our example point people toward Christ.
Lord Jesus, search my heart. Remove anything in me that could become a stumbling block to another person. Purify my motives, sanctify my words, transform my character, and let people see Christ through my life. Make me not a stone of stumbling, but a stepping stone that helps others walk closer to You.
